Privacy policy
Last updated September 2026Vkomak Technologies ("BookingHub," "we," "our," "us") operates the BookingHub sports booking platform. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, how it's used, and the choices you have about it. Using BookingHub means you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
Account details. Name, email address and phone number when you register or book as a guest, so we can create your account, confirm bookings, and let the Venue contact you if needed.
Booking and payment data. Your booking history, the Venue and slot booked, and payment details such as amount, method and a payment reference — not your full card or bank details, which are handled directly by our payment gateway, Razorpay.
Identity/KYC documents. Where a role requires it (for example, a coach or corporate account), we collect the identity documents you submit for verification.
Location. If you allow location access we store an approximate position in a cookie, rounded to roughly one kilometre, purely to show distances and pick your city. It is never sent to a third party and you can decline without losing any functionality.
Device and usage data. Browser type, IP address and pages visited, collected automatically to keep the platform secure and to understand which parts of the site are actually used.
How we use it
Running the service. Confirming bookings, processing payments and refunds, generating invoices, verifying your identity for login and password changes (including one-time codes sent by email or SMS), and providing support.
Communication. Booking confirmations and reminders, account and security alerts, and — only where you haven't opted out — offers and updates by email, SMS or push notification. Transactional messages (like a booking confirmation or a security alert) can't be turned off, since they're how we tell you something you asked for actually happened.
Improving BookingHub. Aggregated, de-identified usage patterns help us understand demand by city and sport, and improve the product for every Venue and customer on the platform.
Who we share it with
The Venue you book. Your name, phone and email are shared with the Venue so they can honour and manage your reservation — this is the one sharing that's inherent to how a marketplace booking works.
Service providers. We use Razorpay to process payments, cloud storage to hold uploaded documents and images, and email/SMS providers to deliver notifications. Each only receives what it needs to do that job, and none may use your data for their own marketing.
We do not sell your data. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Legal requirements. We may disclose information where required by law, a valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property or safety of BookingHub, our users, or the public.
Security
Passwords are never stored in plain text — they're hashed with industry-standard bcrypt before being saved. Traffic between your device and BookingHub is encrypted in transit. Access to personal data within BookingHub is restricted to staff who need it to do their job. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but if we become aware of a breach affecting your personal data, we will notify affected users without undue delay, consistent with applicable law.
Cookies we set
bh_city (your chosen city), bh_geo (approximate coordinates, only if you allow location), and bh_loc_asked (whether you've already answered the location prompt, so we don't ask twice). We don't set advertising cookies. You can clear or block cookies in your browser at any time; bh_city just resets to a default city if you do.
Your choices
You can review and update your profile details from your account settings at any time. You can unsubscribe from promotional communications from the link in any such email, or by contacting us. You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, or request deletion of your account, by writing to us — we'll act on it once we've verified it's really you asking, and subject to what we're required to keep for legal, tax or dispute purposes (for example, completed booking and payment records).
Children
BookingHub accounts are for users 16 and older. Where a booking is made by a parent or guardian on behalf of a younger player, the account remains that of the adult who registered it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time; the "Last updated" date reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be reflected on the Privacy Policy page, and where practical we'll notify registered users by email in advance of them taking effect.
